AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) on Tuesday dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JHCO Secretary General Ayman Mifleh said the five-truck convoy, laden with 100 tonnes of rice was donated by South African charity Imdad, is part of a larger tranche of assistance weighing 300 tonnes, the remainder of which will be dispatched later this month.
The humanitarian relief will be handed over to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, which will distribute it to families in need in the coastal enclave, Mifleh added.
