Five ‘wanted suspects’ arrested in Irbid — security official

AMMAN — Security agencies on Tuesday arrested five people labelled as “dangerous wanted suspects” in Irbid, while implementing a campaign to remove street vendors violating regulations.
A security source told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the five suspects had criminal records and were believed to be wanted by several judicial and security authorities.
He also said the campaign, implemented by Irbid police department and the Gendarmerie Department, achieved its goals, and noted that crime rates had “remarkably declined” after the arrests of most of the wanted suspects in the area.
