FM conveys King’s message to Qatari emir

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign  Minister Ayman Safadi on Monday conveyed a message from His Majesty King Abdullah to Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, centred around strengthening bilateral relations and several key Arab and regional issues.

During a Doha-held meeting, Safadi delivered His Majesty’s greetings and wishes for good health and happiness to Sheikh Tamim, and His Majesty’s best wishes for further prosperity to the Qatari people, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.  

Sheikh Tamim also conveyed his greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah, wishing him good health and well-being, and the Jordanian people further progress and prosperity.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and Qatar, and explore avenues to enhance these ties. Both sides also discussed various regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Prior to the meeting, Safadi held extensive talks with Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Al Thani, affirming his commitment to continue bolstering cooperation with Jordan across multiple domains.

The discussions also featured Arab issues, with a special emphasis on the Palestinian cause, the crisis in Syria and the situation in Lebanon.
