Foreign Ministry to evacuate 71 Jordanians from Gaza

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that 71 Jordanian citizens have been evacuated from the war-torn Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing.
The ministry said that 30 evacuees will be transported by a ship from Nuweiba Port to Aqaba Port, while 41 of them, who were transported to Cairo, were set to return to the Kingdom through Cairo Airport, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah said that out of the 1050 Jordanians in Gaza registered in the ministry's database, 652 have been successfully evacuated since the start of the war on October 7.
Upon arrival to Rafah border crossing, the embassy's team will provide the Jordanian evacuees with necessary assistance and facilitate their return to the Kingdom, Qudah said.
