Foreign Ministry following up on Eilat incident

AMMAN —Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the Jordanian Embassy in Tel Aviv was following up on the arrest of a Jordanian in Eilat.
The ministry’s spokesperson Majed Qatarneh was quoted in the Jordan News Agency, Petra, as saying that the embassy has “immediately” sent its representative to Eilat to follow up on the incident that took place on Friday.
The Jordanian citizen is still detained by the Israeli authorities and is under investigation, Qatarneh said.
The government recently said it would announce information on the case once it was completed.
International press reported that a Jordanian national was arrested on Friday on suspicion of attacking two Israelis in Eilat.
