AMMAN — Zain Jordan recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) to provide free Wi-Fi Internet services at specific public locations in Aqaba, according to a statement sent to The Jordan Times on Monday.
Free Internet will be available in areas such as the Urban Village, the Great Arab Revolt Square, Princess Salma Park, Aqaba Museum and Aqaba Marine Park.
The statement quoted ASEZA Chief Commissioner Kamel Mahadin as saying that the free Wi-Fi service will benefit the large number of visitors who frequent these areas, especially during holidays and weekends.
This service will promote tourism in Aqaba by enabling visitors “to surf the web while enjoying the perfect weather and the Red Sea”, Mahadin added.
