Freihat honoured during official visit to Pakistan

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat made an official visit to the Republic of Pakistan, where he met with Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
The president awarded Freihat with the Order of Merit of First Class in the presence of the minister of defence and senior military officials.
Freihat also met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff of Pakistan Lt. Gen. Zubair Mahmood Hayat and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and areas of cooperation. Freihat later met with a number of military commanders from the army, navy and air force.
