Freihat meets Bahraini king over bilateral ties

AMMAN — Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa on Monday received Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, expressing keenness to enhance bilateral ties at all levels, especially in the military field.
King Hamad commended the Jordanian role in supporting Arab and Islamic causes, and Amman's contributions to consolidating the regional peace, security and stability, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also wished success to the Bahraini-Jordanian joint committee meeting to be held in Manama to enhance cooperation in military fields. For his part, Freihat expressed appreciation for King Hamad's keenness to further develop ties between the two kingdoms.
Freihat also met with Commander of the Bahrain Defence Force Field Marshal Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Bahraini Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, and signed the 15th military cooperation agreement.
