Fund to go ahead with third phase of project to promote volunteerism

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) on Tuesday signed an “agreement of implementation” with Al Shajarah Society for Conservation to implement the third phase of the Juthoor project, according to a KAFD statement released Wednesday.
Juthoor is a Royal initiative based on a national development programme with the cooperation of the ministries of agriculture, education and public works, in addition to other public youth entities.
KAFD Director Qais Qatamin said the phase reinforces the spirit of volunteering, promotes independent initiatives and supports youths’ active citizenship.
He noted that 6,954 students representing 60 schools from across the Kingdom have benefited from the first two phases of Juthoor, according to the statement.
