AMMAN — All gas distribution agencies and vehicles in the Kingdom are excluded from the nationwide curfew, Energy Minister Hala Zawati said on Tuesday.
The exclusion aims to meet people’s needs for this vital commodity, Zawati said, stressing that the gas is available in enough quantities and that filling stations affiliated with the Jordan Petroleum Company are working at full capacity to guarantee enough supply, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Daily demand for gas cylinders has increased over the past few days to unprecedented levels, reaching 230,000 cylinders, compared with the daily average in winter of between 120,000 and 160,000 cylinders.
