AMMAN — Jordan on Monday said it stands with Saudi Arabia against the "blind terrorism" targeting its security.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani expressed Jordan's condemnation of the blast that targeted the Prophet's Mosque in Medina Munawara and the blasts in Qatif in Saudi Arabia.

The "heinous crime", Momani said, targeted worshippers from around the world at a time when the Muslim world is preparing to mark Eid Al Fitr.

The spokesperson called for concerted Arab, Muslim and international efforts to combat terrorism.

He expressed condolences to the people and government of Saudi Arabia over the loss of life in the blasts, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
