AMMAN — The government is implementing measures to facilitate the flow of goods between Jordan and Palestine, which will increase the volume of trade exchange — still below both countries' ambitions — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Youssef Shamali said on Saturday.
The minister's remarks came during his meeting with the President of the Palestinian Businessmen Forum Amer Eseili, Head of the Jordanian-Palestinian Business Forum Nazmi Atmeh and a delegation of Palestinian businesspeople, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Shamali stressed the importance of establishing joint economic activities and committees at all levels between the countries due to their "remarkable" role in strengthening economic and commercial relations.
The delegates commended the facilitations provided by the Kingdom to support the Palestinian economy.
Discussions also went over several proposals to increase joint trade exchange.
