Halaseh discusses public works projects with Saudi Fund delegation

AMMAN — Public Works and Housing Minister Sami Halaseh on Monday met with delegates from the Saudi Fund for Development to continue contract procedures for implementing the Desert Highway rehabilitation, Princess Basma Hospital and national fibre optics projects.
Representatives of the Jordanian-Saudi consortium of consultative offices, which won the tenders to implement the three projects after technical and financial evaluation, also attended the meeting, according to a ministry statement. The costs of implementing the Desert Highway, Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid and national fibre optics projects stand at $170 million, $70 million and $50 million, respectively.
