AMMAN — The Supreme Framework Committee to deal with the pandemic on Saturday held a meeting on the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom with the health and interior ministers and representatives from the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management.

During the briefing, headed by Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh, Health Minister Feras Al Hawari stressed, despite the rising number of COVID cases, the readiness of the health sector to deal with the epidemiological conditions that do not require lockdowns or any form of curfew, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The committee referred several recommendations to the Council of Ministers, including stricter measures on vaccination and intensifying field monitoring on commitments to prevention measures in the public and private sectors. The recommendations aim to preserve "gains" that allowed the reopening of sectors and the resumption of economic activities.
