House Foreign Affairs Committee commends ‘deep-rooted’ Jordanian-Iraqi relations

AMMAN — Head of the Lower House Foreign Affairs Committee MP Mirza Boulad on Sunday commended the "deep-rooted" Jordanian-Iraqi relations, adding that Iraq's security is an integral part of Jordan's.
Speaking during the committee's meeting with Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haider Athari, Boulad stressed the importance of stimulating investment between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Jordanian investors should be given priority and preference to participate in Iraq's reconstruction, the lawmaker said, stressing the need to facilitate support for Jordanian investment in Iraq, and overcome difficulties facing Iraqi investors in the Kingdom.
For his part, Athari said that the Iraqi community in Jordan includes many Iraqi investors and industrial businesspeople who are an integral part of the Jordanian economy.
