Interior Ministry launches 11 e-services

AMMAN — The Interior Ministry on Sunday launched 11 e-services from the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC), a move aimed at easing procedures and improving the Kingdom's investment environment, according to a JIC statement.
Interior Minister Salameh Hammad, during the launching ceremony, highlighted the Royal directives towards achieving economic reforms, notably those related to stimulating the business environment, attracting investments and creating new jobs. Chairman of the JIC Khaled Wazani highlighted the role of automating the commission's services in improving the Kingdom's international ranking, as well as saving the investors' time and effort.
The newly launched services include 10 e-services related to the issuance of investors' visas and residencies through the Interior Ministry's commissioner at the JIC, in addition to the launch of a JIC's call centre service. He added that these facilities fall within the first phase of the automation project of the JIC's services. Wazani also highlighted the commission's endeavours to automate its 71 services by the end of the year.
