AMMAN — Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) has completed preparations to hold the ninth edition of its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) ICT Forum on November 16 and 17, in the Dead Sea at the King Hussein Convention Centre.

The forum will be held in partnership with Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) and the Ministry of Investment with the participation of 77 representatives from 50 investment funds from the region.

The event will also see participation of university presidents, faculty members and students from 10 public universities, and 154 exhibitors, who will present their products and business solutions, 63 of which are companies within the startup village.

HRH Princess Sumaya, president of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), will address the event, alongside communications and information technology ministers from Palestine, Mauritania, Egypt and Iraq, in addition to high-level government officials and their counterparts from the private sector representing 29 countries. In total, the event will feature 145 Jordanian, international and Arab speakers.

On the sidelines of the forum’s activities, there will be five Arab and international pavilions.

Int@j, in a press statement on Saturday, said that the forum will discuss multiple files during its sessions, foremost of which will be artificial intelligence, financial technology and smart industries.

Workshops will be held to provide an opportunity for the region's entrepreneurs and startups through interactive and inspiring sessions and workshops designed to enhance business skills needed to accelerate their companies' growth and network with investors and managers of local and international companies, the statement noted.
