Int@j to launch SHETECHS Council to raise women representation in ICT

AMMAN — The Information and Communications Technology Association (int@j) is set to launch the SHETECHS Council during its upcoming forum, slated for November 28, under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya, an int@j statement said.
The event, which will witness the participation of female and male business leaders in the local ICT sector, will conclude with the official launch of SHETECHS, which aims to increase women’s effective representation in the sector.
It also seeks to contribute to the transformation into the digital economy under the Royal REACH Initiative 2025. As of now, the participation of females in the Jordanian ICT sector stands at 29 per cent, while around 50 per cent of graduates from ICT related universities and colleges are women.
