AMMAN — The IRADA programme held 34 events within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in its 13th edition, with the participation of 639 individuals from various governorates in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The events, implemented by the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), focused on ways to establish small- and medium-sized enterprises, manage them and obtain financing, conduct feasibility studies, in addition to discussing entrepreneurship and women’s economic empowerment.

Organised by the Queen Rania Centre for Entrepreneurship (QRCE) at Princess Sumaya University of Technology (PSUT), the GEW aims to promote a culture of entrepreneurship among young people, enhance the participation of women, and create opportunities for entrepreneurial work.

The activities, presented by 27 IRADA consultants, targeted students from training and vocational institutes, business owners, youth and business incubators interested in small- and medium-sized enterprises.

Launched in 2002 in implementation of a Royal vision to confront development challenges, IRADA is a nationwide programme that aims to enhance economic and social productivity as part of the Planning Ministry’s programmes.
