AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah said that Iraq officially exempted some 540 Jordanian commodities supplied to the Iraqi market from customs duties, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
Qudah said that the move aims to increase the size of Jordanian exports to the Iraqi market and boost economic cooperation between the two countries.
Qudah pointed out that allowing Jordanian trucks to enter Iraqi territory and vice-versa will contribute to boosting bilateral trade and increasing Jordanian exports to the Iraqi market, in addition to reviving the land shipping sector and various economic sectors.
