Irbid police prevent ‘suicide attempt’

AMMAN — Irbid Police Department personnel, in cooperation with the Civil Defence Department, on Sunday persuaded a man in his twenties against committing suicide, according to Irbid Police Director Brig. Gen. Ammar Tarawneh.
Security personnel convinced the man to get down from the top of a communications tower in downtown Irbid, Tarawneh told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, adding that the man was then taken to a police station for questioning.
