AMMAN — Ireland’s Ambassador to Jordan Vincent O’Neill on Thursday stressed that his country will never accept anything but the two-state solution and granting refugees their right to return as a basis to reach a permanent and just solution to the Palestinian issue.
Visiting the Azmi Mufti refugee camp and checking on the services presented by the young women’s training centre affiliated with the World Council of Churches, O’Neill noted that Ireland is also keen on the sustainability of UNRWA, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The diplomat expressed his pride in being Ireland’s first ambassador to the Kingdom, as well as his embassy’s willingness to support refugee empowerment projects.
