AMMAN — Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief and head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives Yousef Issawi on Thursday met with a number of representatives from Ajloun.
The meeting aimed to follow up on the requests made during His Majesty’s visit to the region last Tuesday. King Abdullah’s Adviser for Tribal Affairs Atef Al Hajaya, and the governor of Ajloun, Qublan Al Sharif, also attended the meeting, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, Issawi stated that His Majesty King Abdullah consistently encourages open channels of communication with citizens across the Kingdom to ensure that all solutions are pursued in coordination with the relevant bodies and in line with available resources.
The committee will consider all ideas presented during Thursday’s meeting in addition to those made during the Royal meeting, Issawi said.
Issawi also said that various Royal development and services-related initiatives have been successfully implemented in Ajloun in recent years. Upcoming projects will focus on ideas that stimulate production and development to create job opportunities for Ajloun’s youth, he added.
Participants at the meeting expressed their appreciation for King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein’s visits to Ajloun, recognising the visits as important steps in effectively addressing a wide range of local issues.
The representatives also highlighted the importance of the cable car project, explaining that the initiative has opened up investment opportunities and transformed Ajloun into an attractive tourist destination. Participants identified optimising areas near the cable car for investment ventures as an important next step.
Discussions centred on key areas of development, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, health, education, women and youth empowerment and veteran’s welfare.
