JAF, British military hold joint ‘Olive Grove’ exercise

AMMAN — The King Faisal II Ibn Al Hussein Battalion/16 of the King Hussein Bin Ali Brigade on Monday conducted a joint military drill, “Olive Grove”, with members of British military at a designated training fields.
The exercise, attended by the Brigade Commander, Brig. Gen. Omar Shqairat, and the British military attaché, Col. Will Davies, included firing live rounds from a number of weapons. The exercise also included incursion-related operations using armoured vehicles and snipers, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
This exercise falls within the training programmes carried out by the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army with the British military in order to improve readiness and combat efficiency.
