JAF gets equipment from US Defence Threat Reduction Agency

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Tuesday received equipment provided by the US Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JAF’s Director of Strategic Planning, Brig. Gen. Bassam Falih stressed the importance of the close and distinctive partnership with the DTRA in deploying an integrated border control system, appreciating the continued assistance in providing Jordan with assistive materials and equipment to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
US Defence Attaché Jordan Colonel David Kobs said that the DTRA has been working with its Jordanian counterpart for nine years, during which it provided advanced equipment that would improve the level of performance, complemented by the training partnership between the two sides. Extending greeting on Jordan’s centennial, Kobs also praised the strong relationship and cooperation that bind the two countries.
