AMMAN — Japan's Ambassador to Jordan Shimazaki Kaoru on Thursday visited Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), a Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) initiative.
Accompanied by a delegation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and a number of Japanese embassy officials, the envoy met the university president, Ismail Al-Hinti and faculty members, over cooperation between the two sides.
Hinti, during the meeting, reviewed the university’ modernisation drive, highlighting partnerships with several embassies in the Kingdom and international educational institutions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Talks also went over the university’s programmes, notably the training and recruitment programmes for fresh graduates who got their degrees from Jordanian universities.
The envoy commended the university’s technical education and quality programmes aimed at allowing Jordanian youth to penetrate the labor market.
