JBA president, Sri Lanka ambassador talk trade relations

AMMAN — The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) praised the Sri Lankan embassy's efforts to advance economic, commercial and investment relations between the two countries.
During a meeting with Sri Lankan Ambassador Shanika Dissanayake and JBA President Hamdi Tabbaa on Thursday, Tabbaa emphasised the importance of the Joint Jordanian-Sri Lankan Business Council in promoting bilateral investment and strengthening trade ties, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tabbaa urged the Sri Lankan business community to visit Jordan to view the Kingdom’s available investment opportunities and incentives. Ambassador Dissanayake stressed the “deep-rooted” ties between Sri Lanka and Jordan, and commended the JBA’s role in boosting trade relations. Jordan-Sri Lanka trade exchange stood at JD33.3 million in the first nine months of 2022, with JD1.2 million in Jordanian garment, metal and steel exports, and JD32.1 million in spices, coffee, tea and coconut imports.
