JCC, Chinese trade delegation consider role of private sector

AMMAN — Members of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) board of directors and commercial sector representatives spoke with a Chinese trade delegation regarding the private sector’s role in boosting trade cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation hails from the China-Arab States Technology Transfer Centre, including representatives of the agriculture, renewable energy, medical devices, scientific research, construction materials, foodstuff, technology and vehicles industries in China, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
The meeting covered relevant technological developments and the potential for China to benefit from Jordan’s business-friendly climate and establish renewable energy investments.
Talks also covered enhancing cooperation in the electric vehicle and machinery industries, and boosting foodstuff exports to China. First Vice Chairman of JCC, Jamal Rifai stressed the importance of marketing Jordanian products in China, which is Jordan’s third largest commercial partner, calling on China to establish more investments in the Kingdom.
