JD1m allocated for computerising municipal transactions

AMMAN — The municipal affairs and the planning and international cooperation ministries have allocated JD1 million to computerise administrative and financial transactions at municipalities.
The Municipal Affairs Ministry’s IT director, Khalid Qaraan, said the ministry is studying plans and suggestions to execute projects that link it and municipalities to the e-government portal.
The computerisation project, Qaraan said, includes the systems for personnel, salaries, properties, expropriation, depots, tenders and municipal projects.
