JEDCO, KAFD sign agreement to support entrepreneurs

AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) signed an agreement with King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD)to support local entrepreneurial ideas and projects from governorates.
The agreement was signed by KAFD manager Saeb Al Hassan and JEDCO’s CEO Abdel Fattah Al Kayed, according to a JEDCO statement.
Kayed stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination among all institutions to achieve local economic development.
According to the agreement, both institutions will cooperate to implement a programme to support entrepreneurial ideas and projects in all governorates, which will be launched this month.
The agreement also pertains to designing and implementing projects that serve youth.
Hassan said that the signing of this agreement comes within the objectives of the fund to provide new opportunities for youth in governorates.
JEDCO is the national umbrella for economic enterprise development in Jordan, inclusive of startups and entrepreneurships.
The KAFD is a national organisation that aims to raise the productivity of citizens and motivate them to achieve sustainable development in various fields in all governorates through the implementation of programmes and initiatives in partnership with public, private and civil society institutions.
