AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) has carried out a relief campaign as part of the "Orphan Clothing Programme" to support Jordanian orphans in the Al Nuaimah region.
The campaign was conducted in cooperation with the Takaful Charitable Society and received support from the Arab Bank, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Khaled Al Nawasrah, director of Takaful, said that the campaign, which falls within the JHCO’s Charity Clothing Bank, aims to alleviate the living burdens of orphan families and provide them with suitable clothing, noting that 79 orphans registered with the association benefited from the campaign.
One of the JHCO’s departments, the Charity Clothing Bank was launched in the last quarter of 2013 , facilitating needy Jordanian families free shopping for clothing, footwear, and other items.
The Takaful Charity Association takes care of nearly 1,000 orphans from Jordanians and Syrian refugees in Ramtha and Al Nuaimah.
