AMMAN — The Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) has handled a total of 732 applications and inquiries since it began remote work due to the coronavirus crisis.

The commission, in a statement issued on Monday, said that it has managed to conduct all its work through the emergency and work sustainability plan that was put in place to deal with requests related to investment projects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The commission’s remote services have provided access to an investor window, swift facilitations and incentives, in addition to promoting Jordan’s investment opportunities through social media platforms in coordination with the Kingdom’s embassies.

The JIC invited investors to visit the commission’s website to benefit from the remote services and contact "the voice of the investor" service at the hotline: 0782889999.

Since the onset of the coronavirus crisis, the JIC has formed a committee to follow up on the investment-related repercussions of the pandemic, with the aim of providing solutions and proposals to ensure the progress of ventures and preserve the interests of investors and the private sector, Petra, reported.
