JMAP held free clinics for Palestinian refugees

Amman — Jordan Medical Aid for Palestinians (JMAP) held a medical open day for over 700 patients in Jerash/Gaza refugee camp on Friday March 17, offering free medicines and free paediatric, gynaecology, gastrology, urology, dentistry, ophthalmology, oncology and family medicine checkups, while lab tests and x-rays were also provided free of charge, along with nutritional advice, according to a JMAP statement.

The initiative was coordinated with the Jordan Volunteers and the Jordan Doctors’ Initiative, with the support of the United Palestinian Appeal. Working with local partners and international organisations, JMAP has been providing medical care to Palestinian refugees in the Kingdom for the past 26 years, running medical centres in Jerash/Gaza and Hitteen/Marka refugee camps, which have served over 850,000 patients, the organisation said.
