Jordan, Algeria discuss higher education cooperation

AMMAN — Jordan and Algeria on Tuesday discussed means to enhance higher education cooperation.
During a visit to Algeria, Secretary General of the Higher Education Ministry Hani Dmour met with Algerian Higher Education Minister Al Taher Hajjar and discussed ways to increase cooperation through twinning programmes between the two countries’ universities.
Jordan asked Algeria to increase scholarships offered to Jordanian students. There are currently more than 300 Jordanian students in Algerian universities, while Algerian students in the Kingdom are estimated at around 70.
