Jordan condemns attack on UN mission in Congo

AMMAN — Jordan on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on the United Nations Organisation Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) in North Kivu, which resulted in the death of three peacekeepers from India and Morocco, as well as an injury to an Egyptian peacekeeper, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
The ministry stressed the Kingdom’s rejection of all forms of violence and denounced attacks on international peacekeeping missions. The ministry also expressed condolences to the families of the victims and to India and Morocco, as well as wishing the injured Egyptian peacekeeper a speedy recovery.
