Jordan condemns terror attacks in Sinai

AMMAN — Jordan on Friday strongly denounced the Sinai terrorist attacks on Thursday, targeting Egypt’s security personnel in the restive peninsula.

Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani asserted Jordan’s support for Egypt under all circumstances, especially in combating terrorism, which, he said, targets security, stability and the safety of Egyptian army and citizens.

Momani reiterates Jordan’s rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism.

He extended the government’s condolences to the Egyptian government and to the victims’ families.

On Thursday, jihadists targeted security forces with rockets and a car bomb in North Sinai province in simultaneous attacks.
