Jordan condemns terrorist attacks in Syria's Sweida

AMMAN — Jordan on Thursday condemned the terrorist attacks targeting innocent civilians in the Sweida province in southern Syria that killed around 250 people and injured dozens more. State Minister for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat expressed her deepest condolences and sympathy for the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The minister, who is also the government's spokesperson, stressed the need to intensify efforts to eliminate terrorism, reiterating Jordan's commitment to remain an active partner in the fight against the "Daeshian gangs".
Ghunaimat also stressed that it is important to arrive at a political solution for the Syrian crisis that would be accepted by Syrians, restore safety and stability and preserve the country's unity.
