AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Minister of Education Mohammad Thneibat met with Islamic Education, Science and Culture Organisation (ISESCO) President Abdul Aziz Twaijri, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They discussed relations between Jordan and ISESCO and means to develop them.
Thneibat outlined the impact of the Syrian refugee crisis on Jordan’s limited resources and the resulting pressure on sectors such as education and healthcare, noting that the Kingdom hosts more than 1.3 million Syrians.
Believing that education is a universal right to children, Jordan has opened its schools to all students regardless of their nationality, Thneibat added.
