AMMAN — Higher Education Minister Labib Khadra on Monday met with a delegation representing the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and discussed prospects of joint cooperation.
The two sides also discussed increasing the number of Russian scholarships presented to Jordanians, and the possibility of focusing on specialisations needed in the Jordanian labour market, according to a Higher Education Ministry statement.
Khadra noted that the ministry is about to issue new regulations to accredit non-Jordanian higher education institutions, where certificates from universities recognised under the Bologna declaration will be accredited.
The Russian delegates commended the level of higher education in Jordan, the statement said.
