Jordan Interpol receives cheque fraud suspect from Egypt

AMMAN — Jordan’s Interpol office has received from the Egyptian authorities an Arab national suspected of writing, bad cheques worth JD860,000 and has two international warrants against him, the Public Security Department’s (PSD) media centre said on Thursday.
After receiving complaints against the suspect, Amman prosecutor general directed the concerned authorities to issue an international warrant against him. Jordan’s Interpol office contacted the secretariat general of the Interpol, according to a PSD statement. Tunis’ Interpol informed Jordan that the suspect was in Egypt, and Cairo’s Interpol office arrested the suspect and handed him over to Jordan, the PSD said.
