AMMAN —The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) held a training workshop on media skills and issues faced by expatriates in Mauritanian capital Nouakchott, a JMI statement said Monday.
The workshop, held in partnership with the International Organisation for Migration and funded by the EU, saw the participation of 21 Mauritanians, eight of whom are women.
The workshop aimed at boosting the reporters’ skills in writing specialised reports on the issue of expatriates in Mauritania to help improve migration policies and management of expatriates’ sectors, in addition to helping the government combat human trafficking.
