Jordan offers condolences to Syria, Turkey over earthquake victims

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Monday expressed Jordan’s deepest condolences to Syria and Turkey over the victims of an earthquake that struck both countries earlier in the day and resulted in several deaths and injuries.
The ministry voiced the Kingdom's sympathy and solidarity with the Syrian and Turkish peoples over this tragic incident, expressing condolences to the victims' families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery, according to a ministry statement.
In another statement, the ministry called on Jordanians in Turkey and Syria to call the Kingdom's embassies in Ankara and Damascus for help at any time. Jordanians in Turkey can call the embassy in Ankara at 00905384419586, while Jordanians in Syria can call the embassy in Damascus at 00963954455455, and the ministry's operations room at 00962795497777.
