Jordan, Palestine sign programme for tourism cooperation

AMMAN — The Tourism Ministry and its Palestinian counterpart signed an executive programme for tourist cooperation in 2014-17 on Monday in the presence of public and private sector representative from both countries.
Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine, who signed the programme with his Palestinian counterpart Rula Maaiah, said it is the first step towards conducting joint tourist programmes and agreements aimed at enhancing religious tourism.
Maaiah reiterated the importance of the programme as its revenues will contribute to developing local communities in both countries.
