‘Jordan spent JD1.665 billion on healthcare in 2012’

AMMAN — Jordan’s health expenditure saw a 5.3 per cent increase in 2012, rising to more than JD1.665 billion from JD1.581 billion in 2013.
According to the fifth technical report on national health figures for 2012, whose results were announced by the Higher Health Council in cooperation with WHO, health expenditures accounted for 7.58 per cent of the gross domestic product in 2012, compared to 7.72 per cent in 2011.
