AMMAN — Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al Fayez on Tuesday attended the opening of the Jordanian lounge in Top Resa, annual exhibit of tourism industry.

In its fourth event, the trade show kicked off on Tuesday and will run until October 9.

In a ministry statement, Fayez said that Top Resa is one of France’s most important exhibits, noting that it could be an opportunity to stimulate French arrivals to the Kingdom.

During his tour in the Jordanian pavilion, the minister made a number of interviews over the Kingdom's measures towards attracting foreign tourists, notably French tourists.

Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat said that Top Resa featured the participation of 16 Jordanian tourism companies, in addition to the Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ).

On the sidelines of the show, Fayez and Arabiyat met Jordan's Ambassador to France Makram Qaisi over advancing cooperation and operationalise the mission's role in promoting Jordanian tourism.

Qaisi stressed the importance of the exhibition in helping French tourists to determine their future tourist destinations, including the Kingdom.
