Jordan, UAE agree further coordination on regional issues

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday returned to the Kingdom after concluding an official visit to Abu Dhabi, which began on Sunday, according to a Royal Court statement.
King Abdullah on Sunday stressed the depth of Jordan-UAE relations during a meeting with Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi crown prince and deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed different issues in the region, stressing the importance of maintaining coordination within the system of joint Arab work to deal with regional challenges.
They also discussed ways to combat terrorism within a holistic approach that enhances the stability and security of Middle East countries.
King’s Military Adviser and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben and National Policies Council Rapporteur Abdullah Wreikat attended the meeting.
From the Emirati side, National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Al Shamsi and Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei attended the meeting.
Moreover, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi and Military Adviser to the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Juma Al Falasi also attended the meeting.
