Jordan, Ukraine discuss agriculture cooperation

AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat on Tuesday met with the Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmytro Senik to discuss facilitating commodity exchange, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, attended by Ukrain’s Ambassador to Jordan Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, Hneifat highlighted the climatic features of Jordan, stressing the importance of the Ukrainian Grain Association.
In another meeting, Hneifat discussed employing advanced water technology and increasing afforestation with World Bank’s Senior Agricultural Economist Tobias Baedeker.
