Jordan, US discuss cooperation in construction sector

AMMAN — Minister of Public Works and Housing Sami Halaseh on Wednesday met with US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells and discussed cooperation in the construction sector.

A ministry statement said Halaseh and Wells also discussed US economic aid to Jordan to establish schools, hospitals and healthcare centres.

The minister commended USAID’s support in funding projects in these sectors.

He briefed the diplomat on the development of the construction and housing sectors and the outlook for the coming decade, the statement said.
