Jordan-US military ties discussed

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Sunday met with Lt. Gen. William Beydler, the commander of the US Marine Corps Central Command over Jordanian-US relations and prospects of further cooperation, especially at the military level.
King’s Military Adviser and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben and US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells attended the meeting, according to a Royal Court statement.
Also on Sunday, Zaben held a separate meeting with Beydler, in the presence of HRH Prince Feisal, over bilateral ties and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between both
countries’ armies.
They also addressed the latest regional developments, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
