AMMAN — Jordanian engineer Maher Maymoun has won the global “Energy Innovator of the Year” award at the World Energy Engineering Congress and Expo held in Georgia, US, on Wednesday, where hundreds of businesspeople and specialists in the field of energy gathered.
The award recognises the engineer’s trajectory as an energy consultant, and his work in addressing the issue of dust accumulation in solar panels developing a self-cleaning solution that eliminates the need for water.
In a recent interview with The Jordan Times, Maymon expressed that he is “proud to be representing Jordan in this global event”. He thanked all those who helped him in this achievement, noting that the award is a reward for the work developed along with Tala Naswareen, partner at the company founded by Maymoun.
